 The basic requirements for animal transport particularly that of dogs has been laid down the International Air Transport Association (IATA) which is the international organization of air carriers whose regulations govern all matters relating to air travel for animals as well as people.
IATA determines the minimum requirements for all animal tranportation. For instance, dogs may only be transported in traveling cases that meet IATA standards.
